This MALE ELBOW 5/8 X 1/2 is designed for use with nylon or copper air brake tubing and is DOT compliant. The fittings meet SAE J246 requirements and are made of all brass construction. With pipe thread sealant featured on several fitting styles, this pre-applied sealant offers numerous benefits. It provides a no-leak assembly instantly, saving application time and expense. Unlike tape shredding or liquid sealant washout, it will not contaminate systems. Additionally, it can be reused up to five times and provides excellent thread lubrication to prevent galling.
